Marcelo Bergés – Bio
Marcelo Bergés is a Colombian producer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound explorer whose music bridges ancient memory and contemporary electronic culture. His work blends downtempo, world music, and organic electronic with the textures of Andean flutes, guitars, charangos, native percussion, modular synthesis, and ritual atmospheres.
His sound doesn’t seek the dancefloor — it calls it, with gravity rather than noise. Marcelo approaches music not as entertainment but as a ceremony of presence, where rhythm becomes breath, melody becomes memory, and silence holds as much power as sound.
Born in Bogotá and currently based between Costa Rica and Spain, Marcelo’s path has been shaped by a life of movement, inner work, fatherhood, heartbreak, spiritual inquiry, and a deep return to nature. His compositions often emerge from personal transitions — separation, healing, migration — and transform them into landscapes of resilience, tenderness, and awakening.
Marcelo has released music on international labels such as Buddha-Bar, Resueño, Shango Records, Desert Trax, and Pipe & Pochet. His track “Me Enamoré del Viento” was selected for the Buddha-Bar Beach 10th Anniversary compilation, while performances at festivals like Envision (Costa Rica), Cosmic Convergence (Guatemala), and Afrocumbia have positioned him as one of the most sensitive and authentic voices in the new organic electronic movement.
On stage, Marcelo offers two formats:
Live Act – a ritual performance with guitar, flutes, voice, acoustic instruments, and electronics.
DJ Set – a powerful journey from Andean soundscapes to deep organic house, evolving into hypnotic tribal rhythms.
Beyond music, he is a yoga teacher, facilitator of cacao ceremonies and ecstatic dance, and a seeker of non-dual consciousness, masculinity work, and emotional truth. His life and art are guided by a simple philosophy:
“I don’t chase what I love — I become it.”
